Hello, Let me introduce you to NOAH's Golf program. My name is Jim Thornton and I am excited about starting golf for NOAH.  For more information, please contact me at golf@noahjags.org
We're meeting on August 30th to begin our organization and We'd like you to be a part of the first Golf season. Please add your email to the feedburner subscription so we can notify you of emerging details.
Also, please sign up at the NOAHjags.org golf page.

The following are the basic plans that have been developed so far:
Fall Instructional Program
·         Page Belcher Golf Course, on Union between 71st and 61st
·         September 14 thru November 11 (8 weeks).  Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-4:30 PM.
·         One day is instructional on the driving range, putting green and chipping area.  The other day will include a brief lesson and approximately nine holes on the course.
·         A practice fee of $60 will cover all instructional days for the fall program.  Students can play for $8 per round on course days.
·         The focus of the fall program is to teach the basic skills, rules and etiquette of the game of golf.
·         Each instructional session will include a brief devotional.
·         The program is open to boys and girls, grades 7-12, and will be supervised as all times.
·         The fall program will conclude with an inner squad tournament of some sort.

Spring Competitive Program
·         We are currently inquiring into playing in some tournaments during the spring semester.
·         The practice schedule will be the same as the fall program.
·         Fees will increase due to tournament fees and team attire.

Equipment and Attire
·         Each participant must to have their own set of golf clubs.  This may consist of a “half set”, but must include a putter.
·         Pull carts, gloves and golf shoes are completely optional.
·         Participants will wear a shirt with a collar during all instructional / course sessions.
Other Matters of Interest
·         We are looking for at least one more parent to help get the program started.  Golf skill and interest is negotiable.  Specifically, this person would chaperone the days when the participants are on the course.  A golf cart will be provided on days when one is available.
·         We would like to host a home school tournament for the home school associations in the Midwest region?

Thank you for your interest,
Jim Thornton
